  3. This  is a demonstration version of the PCPRO printed circuit board editor.
  4. You  may  run directly from the demo disk.  If you wish to install the demo
  5. on your hard drive (SEE NOTE), simply copy all the files on the demo disk to
  6. drive.    The  following    examples  assume  you are running from the A drive.
  7. Substitute the    appropriate drive letter if you are using another disk. Put
  8. the disk into the A drive and enter:
  9.  
  10.     C> A:        (to make the A drive the default)
  11.     A> DEMO     (to configure to your system & run a "canned" demo)
  12.  
  13. You  would  see   a  default  configuration.  After configuring, the
  14. canned    demo  will automatically start to run.    To pause the demo, hold the
  15. ALT key down. To stop the demo, hold both shift keys down at the same time.

  17. NOTE :    You  are  advised   to     run  the   demo  ONLY     from    the
  18.     root   directory  , in    case  you  wish   to  run  the    DEMO
  19.     from  the  hard  drive.

  21. To run the PCPRO editor, and try your hand at editing, enter:
  22.  
  23.     A> PCPRO    or    A> PCPRO M    (if you have a mouse)
  24.  
  25. Context-sensitive  help is available by pressing the F1 key at any point in
  26. the program.  Also, excerpts from the PCPRO user manual are included on the
  27. demo disk in the following files:

  29.     MANUAL3.DOC - Tutorial
  30.     MANUAL4.DOC - Command Reference
  31.     MANUAL5.DOC - Printing/Plotting
  32.  
  33. Due to space  limitations,  the entire manual is not on the disk.  The real
  34. version  of  PCPRO  comes  with  a  printed and bound manual.  When you are
  35. prompted  for  a  file name or output device type, just press ENTER to list
  36. the available selections.

  38. To generate hardcopy prints/plots of the sample files, enter:
  39.  
  40.     A> PCPLOT    (use F1 for help and/or refer to "MANUAL5.DOC")
